I bet you didN’t know radio waves can travel through space INFINITELY, immortalizing their messages.

To launch Kay’s new “Long Live Love” platform, we gave people a way to send their love letters, in the form of radio waves, into space to travel on for eternity.

We assigned each message a “trajectory number”, allowing gift givers to have these engraved on the collection over the holidays, complementary. These numbers served as a tracking of sorts, allowing recipients to locate and listen to their unique message on the site, see the distance it had travelled from earth, and share on social.

Using a satellite, we sent every message recorded on the site into space as radio waves. Giving people a gift far more tangible than jewelry, and opening a opportunity for people to interact with the brand in an incredibly authentic way.

We had some truly beautiful and special memories shared, and even a few proposals. To bring this digital promise of eternity to life, an archived version of the site will live on well past the campaign. So as long as you have your number, you can always listen to the voice of the person who loves you.

The site served three core functions: record, REMEMBER, explore.

Allowing people to record and share via social, track down an existing message, and explore the anonymous messages living within the universe.

Here’s a look at the flow of the UX

In social, to encourage participation, we shared audio driven videos of select messages
